President Buhari departs for Morocco

President Buhari has departed for Morocco where he would be attending the 22nd Conference of the Parties (COP) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), also known as COP-22, slated for November 14th to 16th. President Buhari will use the occasion to rally international support for the clean-up of Ogoniland in the Niger Delta and the resuscitation of the Lake Chad Basin. See more  (more…)

Disregard Reports that FG Paid $21 million to Secure the Release of 21 Chibok Girls – Presidency

President Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, and the Released Chibok Girls The Presidency on Saturday dismissed media reports that $21 million was paid as ransom to secure the recent release of 21 Chibok schoolgirls. Nigerian Singer, Oritsefemi, beaten up at Quilox night club in Lagos

Singer Oritsefemi was on Friday night beaten up by bouncers at upscale Lagos night club, Quilox. According to eyewitnesses, Oritsefemi came to the club with some of his friends to relax and sat at a section where the owner of the club, Shina Peller, and his guests were meant to sit. 2018 WC qualifier: Victor Moses & Mikel Obi turn Uyo ecstatic as Nigeria defeat Algeria 3-1

It was a big win for Nigeria on Saturday evening as they beat Algeria 3-1 in Uyo, making it their second win of Russia 2018 World Cup Qualifying officially making Nigeria become the first team to defeat Les Verts of Algeria by two goals since Ivory Coast at AFCON 2015. A goal from captain John Mikel Obi and two from fellow Chelsea teammate Victor Moses sealed the win for Gernot Rohr's men despite a fightback from Algeria in the second half. (more…)
