European Union to pay £35million to 8 African countries in secret deal in a bid to quell migration

UK Daily Mail has disclosed a secret deal between the EU and the leaders of eight African countries in its bid to stop migration. Under the agreements, the countries get £35million to facilitate the prevention of migration to the EU. Ukraine to Invest $1 billion into Ajaokuta Steel Company

The Ukrainian Ambassador to Nigeria Valeriy Aleksandruk has said that his country is ready to invest $1billion into Ajaokuta Steel Company in order to revive the plant. UK firm ’employed former child soldiers’ as mercenaries in Iraq

A former senior director at a British firm says that it employed mercenaries from Sierra Leone to work in Iraq because they were cheaper than Europeans and did not check if they were former child soldiers. James Ellery, who was a director of Aegis Defence Services between 2005 and 2015, said that contractors had a “duty” to recruit from countries such as Sierra Leone, “where there’s high unemployment and a decent workforce”, in order to reduce costs for the US presence in Iraq.
